Update from the Loch Bay farm after 10 weeks in the water

We can’t get enough of our seaweed farm..! After 10 weeks in the water we have already reached biomass of 10kg/metre (sugar kelp). For us that is double good news.

  1. With yields at 2 to 3 times that of certain other European waters, efficiencies of scale and a competitive unit cost of production will be achieved much earlier.
  2. With such growth in just 10 weeks, could we dare dream of two harvests per year?

With a just-in time harvest in June, product samples and spec sheets will find its way to our customers very the summer.

Exciting times ahead!
